MYSA 2011-2012 Travel Team Tryouts
The Mebane Youth Soccer Association will be holding travel team tryouts for 2011-2012 travel teams the week of May 23rd. Tryouts will be held at the Mebane Soccer Complex (Directions) and Eurosport Soccer Center (Directions). Tryouts are $5 (includes a Tryout T-Shirt) and open to anyone born on or between 8/1/93 and 7/31/04. Players MUST tryout with their age group! Any decision to have players ‘age up’ is done after tryouts. NO EXCEPTIONS. So a U11 player hoping to play U12 still must attend tryouts from 6-7PM. If your child cannot make both nights of tryouts, have them attend the one they can and then attend one night of makeups. If you can’t make either tryout day, attend one or both nights of makeups. If you can’t make any of the dates, contact our Director of Travel to arrange an alternative tryout.
Register at the fields up to 30 minutes before your tryout starts – fill out this Tryout Registration Form ahead of time if you can. Players attending tryouts need to bring water, shin guards, cleats, and a properly inflated soccer ball. If your child cannot attend tryouts as scheduled, they should attend a supplemental tryout session instead. (We recommend attending two sessions total, but one session is often enough)
We plan to start making calls to selected players by June 6th and will publish the rosters by June 20th

2011/2012 Travel Soccer Fees
Travel soccer fees include/cover: Weekly professional training, two uniforms, soccer bag, soccer ball, practice shirt/team equipment, seasonal tournament subsidy, referee fees, registration and insurance fees, and general overhead expenses. Not all teams will incur all of these expenses!
Extra costs that fees do not cover can include tournament fees, travel costs, warmup shirts/suits, 3rd Kit Jerseys (Girls), etc. Coaches will outline expected costs before the season begins. When comparing fees to other clubs – make sure you account for what is not included in theirs! Many require separate payments for training, uniforms, referee fees, and more.
- U8-U10 Select: $300/year
- Challenge: U10-U14: $435/year U15-U18: $300/season
- Classic: U11-U14: $470/year U15-U18: $325/season
Travel fees can be paid in 3 roughly equal installments as follows:
