MYSA Parent Information & Resources
The MYSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose sole purpose is provide soccer programs to children of all ages and abilities. We are an independent organization that partners with the City of Mebane to provide soccer programs to children in Mebane and surrounding areas. We are affiliated with both the NC Youth Soccer Association and US Club Soccer. We offer a variety of local and regional soccer programs:
- Classic – Travel teams play against teams from across the region (Triad and/or Triangle). The highest level of soccer in NC, with three internal brackets from 2nd Division which is mostly regional to ‘Premier’ which is statewide. Teams play in the NCYSA Classic League.
- Challenge – A level below Classic with teams playing against teams from across the Piedmont Triad. Teams play in the Triad Challenge League.
- Select – A developmental program for players aged 8-10. The program focuses on skills development with teams facing off against teams from the Triangle area (Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill). Standings and scores are not kept as the focus is on proper player development and improvement. Teams play in the NC Champions League.
- All MYSA Travel Teams (Classic/Challenge/Select) are coached by experienced MYSA coaches and players receive weekly training from Premier UK Soccer.
- Recreation – By far the largest soccer program the MYSA has, Recreation is a local soccer program where teams play locally here in Mebane against other MYSA teams. Teams are coached mostly by parent volunteers that receive training via the NCYSA Coaching Education Program.
- TopSoccer – This program provides a fun soccer experience for children with special needs. Helped by ‘buddies’, TopSoccer players get to participate in a variety of soccer related activities twice a week.
