MYSA Inferno Undefeated in Collegiate Championships Soccer Showcase, achieve state and national ranking

The Mebane Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) Inferno went undefeated and took the top spot at the 2012 NCAA Division 1 Collegiate Championships Soccer Showcase held in Hoover, Alabama on December 7-9.

On their path to the championship, the Inferno played against three nationally ranked teams from Alabama and Georgia. In their first game, the Inferno tied the BUSA 95 Elite from Alabama 1-1. They followed that up with a 4-2 win over the Roswell Santos 95 Blue of Georgia. Finally after a hard fought battle, they defeated the AFC Lightning 95 Elite 3-2 in the championship game.

With their victory, the MYSA Inferno are now ranked #16 in North Carolina, #84 in Region III, and #204 in the nation for their age group.

The Mebane Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) provides a variety of affordable, quality programs from recreational to classic level soccer to youth in Orange, Alamance and surrounding counties. The MYSA is always looking for players to join its growing programs.
