A Few Requests…
League Wizard | February 28, 2011We could not have asked for a better weekend to kick off the MYSA spring season, and we hope that all of you had a great time at the games. I wanted to pass on a few things to keep in mind as we go forward in the season…
Nets and Goals: PLEASE do not let your children climb on or swing from the goals or nets! Not only is this a serious safety risk but it also causes undue wear and tear on the equipment. The same applies to the fences around field 3.
Litter: PLEASE help us keep the complex clean by picking up your bottles, wrappers, etc. after games and/or as you’re leaving. Trash cans and recycling bins are located throughout the complex.
Concessions: Our concessions stand is staffed by volunteers from teams and we always need more volunteers! If the concessions stand isn’t open, its because no volunteers were willing to staff it at that time. PLEASE consider volunteering for an hour or two through the season to help keep the concessions open. We never expect parents to volunteer during their child’s game, but if everyone gave an hour before or after a game or during practice throughout the season, the concessions stand would never be unmanned. If you are willing to get involved, please contact George and Tammy McGonagle at [email protected]
Coaches Cards: Please keep an eye out for times this week when registrars will be available at the fields to prepare your coaches cards. Remember, you’ll need a 1×1 color headshot photo with no hats or sunglasses for this, and please wear yours when you are at the complex. Cards for new coaches are expected this week, but the state office is experiencing a significant backup in getting these to clubs…we’ll let you know when they’ve arrived.
Finally, as you are coming or going through the complex, please be mindful of the field lines and games/practices that are going on as you make your way around. PLEASE don’t walk through fields where games or practices are taking place as this is a significant safety risk for the players and a distraction to coaches. In particular, the narrow space between Fields 2C and 2D is for coaches and players only during games and practices and is NOT a walkthrough to the MACC parking lot.
